1. Human Development - We instill confidence in each of our players so that they can take on the challenges of the game and, more importantly, the challenges of life. We want each player to be a great teammate, leader, game changer, and human. Our coaches did it for us, so we need to do it for the next generation.

2. Player Development - For Boys and Girls 12 years and younger, our focus is on the individual, not the team. Our barometer of success is not wins or losses, but the individual’s progress as a player and their improvement with the ball and understanding of the game. We don't talk about winning; we talk about developing players and playing the right way. We teach the kids to love the ball and the techniques so that they are skillful and equipped to be successful in possession. Every player will be guaranteed a minimum of 50% game time each game; we will form new teams/training groups and relationships every season so that the players get to know each other and all play together.

3. Positive Club Environment - We create an environment that is challenging but achievable, just outside of the player’s comfort zone.  By believing and encouraging the players through positive reinforcement to have creative freedom, we believe the players will enjoy soccer and it will build a motivation to succeed in life.

4. Opportunity - We coach the players to see opportunities and use their skills to exploit them. In the game, that may be seeing that the keeper is too far off their line and chipping them; it could be seeing the killer through-ball and taking it. But like everything we do, we want them to see opportunity in life. The Club will provide coaching, education, and mentorship opportunities and create income for players who train to referee. Our goal is to give as many opportunities as possible for our players to succeed through our community club.

5. Community — Through the Downtown Denver Soccer Club, we encourage community unity through “the beautiful game.” By engaging relationships in our local community, we can build a better environment for our kids to grow up in and our families to live in.
